AAMMH - Gambia

African Alliance for Maternal Mental Health-Gambia (AAMMH-Gambia) is the country chapter of the continent-wide African Alliance for Maternal Mental Health organization. AAMMH-Gambia was launched in April 2021. It aims to: educate care providers and the community on maternal mental health, advocate for the prioritization of maternal mental health in the country’s strategies and polices, and act to centralise the mental health of mothers in reproductive and child health services. AAMMH-Gambia will bring together government organizations, local and national NGOs, educational and research institutions, professional associations and private companies to promote maternal mental health.
