Haven Advocacy

Haven Advocacy is Nigeria’s leading maternal mental health organization, dedicated to ensuring that every mother receives the emotional support she deserves throughout the perinatal journey and beyond. Founded and led by Ayo Ayeni – Nigeria’s first certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) and Retain Parental Leave Coach (R-PLC). We work at the intersection of clinical credibility, community care, and systemic change.

Based in Lagos, we serve mothers, families, healthcare providers, and employers through four integrated paths: a maternal mental health helpline, peer support groups, professional training and capacity-building for healthcare providers, and Retain Parental Leave Coaching – our dedicated resource to supporting organizations and employees through the parental leave transition.

We believe that when mothers are supported, entire families and communities thrive. Our work is grounded in destigmatisation, cultural relevance, and the conviction that maternal mental health is not a luxury – it is a right.
