Life for African Mothers (LFAM) is a maternal and child health charity dedicated to reducing maternal deaths in Sierra Leone by making childbirth safer, primarily by providing medication to treat eclampsia and postpartum hemorrhage, and conducting training for nurses in Sierra Leone. We are working to address the tragedy and injustice to women who die every year in pregnancy and childbirth. 303,000 women die every year from complications in childbirth which occur mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa. 99% of all these deaths are avoidable with the right medical care. Women should not be dying in childbirth, as an organization we are doing our best to support them. Currently, LFAM is supporting government hospitals and health centers in seven countries in Sub-Saharan Africa including Sierra Leone. This is a huge achievement for us and a privilege to assist government to help save the lives of women in childbirth.
Community Solidarity to Improve Lives (ComSIL) is a Youth-Led Organization that is fostering development with passion in communities in Sierra Leone. ComSIL’S mission is to empower individuals and communities through basic education, mental health and nutrition, livelihoods, women and children protection, and environmental protection. We aim to fulfill potentials, improve lives, and promote environmental sustainability in communities, creating a Sierra Leone where everyone can thrive.
Forum For African Children’s Education Sierra Leone (FACE-SL) is Community-Based Organization Based in Sierra Leone and support the most vulnerable children’s pregnant women, youth and adolescent boys and girls suffering from mental health, lack of access to basic education in remote rural communities in Sierra Leone.
FACE Sierra Leone is in partnership and collaboration with other likeminded organizations working to promote education and mental health affecting women, children and youth across its operational areas in Sierra Leone. FACE mission and Vision statement is very much aligned to that of the AAMMH. Our goal is to ensure that every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, has the opportunity to thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially in a compassionate and informed society.
