GASS

Global Aim South Sudan (GASS) is a national non-governmental organization established in November 2010, dedicated to improving community livelihoods and strengthening resilience through transformative programmes in agriculture, education, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), protection, health and emergency preparedness.

GASS works to strengthen community capacities for sustainable livelihoods, household food security and income generation; prevent and mitigate diseases; improve access to safe water and sanitation; and promote inclusive, equitable education and lifelong learning opportunities.

The organization also advocates for peaceful coexistence, children’s rights, protection against sexual abuse, exploitation, trafficking and child labour, gender-based violence prevention and good governance.

Its programmes target women, youth, people living with HIV/AIDS, orphans and other vulnerable children, older persons, persons with disabilities, members of the armed forces and vulnerable community groups.

Through its community-based interventions, GASS promotes protection, dignity, self-reliance and psychosocial well-being, including among vulnerable mothers and their families.
